We at BARTON are a not only a key producer, but also an innovator in the deveolpment of cloth backings for the abrasive sector.
Our portfolio of cloth backings allow us to offer our partners options for their entire production requirements. Our backings are based on cotton, polycotton and poyester.
In addition to cloth backings for abrasives, we produce coated materials with waterproof and fireproof finishes for home and industrial applications. Additional home textiles, awnings and technical coated products are available at the customers request.
BARTON – textil is a global company with partenrs worldwide, our partners are some of the most reputable abrasive manufactures from around the globe.

History
BARTOŇ – textil a.s. is a traditional Czech technical textile manaufature with over 130 years of experience producing quality finished textile products for the global markets.
1867
The Barton family started its textile manufacturing and trade business in Nachod county.
1885
Manufacturing plant with dye house were built
1905–1906
Spinning mill for fine yarns was built
1948–1989
Saw the nationalization of Barton & Sons by the state. The Barton immigrated to Canada.
1992
The company was returned to the Barton family. Thus BARTON – textilni zavody was created.
1993
Started a long term investment and modernization of the spinning, weaving and finishing divisions.
2005
The tradition continues, as Michael Barton – Dobenin is named CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
2014
BARTOŇ – textilni závody a.s. gets a new name to adapt to its international partners BARTOŇ – textil a.s.
2017
Mr. Petr Hašek becomes company executive director after many years of being R&D manager
