Backing cloth

Coating based on natural substances (starch and glue) and covering the backing cloth in required thickness. BARTOŇ – textil a.s. is the only producer using this technology in the Czech Republic and one of a few in the whole Europe.

The same technological procedure as with starch glue, but the coating contains synthetic substances based on polyvinyl alcohol (without use of dangerous phenol formaldehyde).

BARTOŇ – textil a.s. is one of the only cloth backing companies in Europe that has in house weaving capacity. This allows us to have better control over the raw material that is used in our cloth backing production. In addition it gives BARTOŇ – textil a.s. more flexibility to adjust our production to our customers changing demands. Finally it enables us to better reduce lead times and provide our partners with just in time deliveries.

We also offer unique impregnations and coatings on all types of backing cloths for various applications in widths up to 200 cm. The typical areas of applications are furnishing, transportation, fireproofing, waterproofing, antistatic, antibacterial, bookbinding etc.
